Sithembile Xola Pearl Thusi whose stage name is Pearl Thusi was born on 13th May 1988 in Durban, South Africa. She is the proud host of Lip Sync Battle Africa and she is the co-owner of Black Pearl Hair Care Collection which is in collaboration with Afro-botanics. Her passion for entertainment has been there right from her childhood days , as she grew older she continued with determination to make her mark in the industry that she long for.

Pearl Thusi officially launched her modelling career in her early days in school. She took part in several pageants in “township” of kwaNdengezi, KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. By taking part in these shows, she was gradually able to build her confidence in front of the camera because she was very shy the first time she faced the camera just like every newbie.
When she started her high school education she also continue pursuing her modelling passion and this was what made her emerge the First Runners-up in Miss SA Teen in 2003 and in 2005 she was named Miss KZN.
She has made it to the cover of several reputable magazines inlcuding Dossier, Elle, Cosmopolitan, City Press’ iMag, Blaque, Gaschette, Destiny Hair, Bona Magazine, True Love, Grazia and numerous editorials.

The ravishing lady is also the host of the Moments South Africa which is usually broadcasted on EbonyLife TV. She has appeared on the SABC 3 soap opera, Isidingo, as Palesa Motaung one of the most popular soap opera in the world.
