Blossom Chukwujekwu is a top notch Nigerian actor, also know as Chukwudi Echezona Blossom. He launched his professional acting career in 2009 and won he Best Supporting Actor Award[2] at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2015. He is one of the most celebrated Nigeria actor and he has won several awards and earned lots of nominations.

Early Life And Background

Chukwudi Echezona Chukwujekwu better known as Blossom Chukwujekwu was born on November 4, 1983 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria to Dr I.E and Evangelist J.C Chukwujekwu, he is the first child from a family of two sons. Blossom Chukwujekwu is originally from Otolo, Nnewi North in Anambra State, Southeast Nigeria.

Education

Blossom Chukwujekwu is a graduate like many other Nollywood actors. He did his primary school education at Greater Tomorrow Primary School and Greater Tomorrow Comprehensive College for his high school both in Benin City, Edo State. After completing his secondary school education, he proceeded to Anambra State University of Science and Technology to study Mass Communications but ended up spending just one year in the university. He completed his studies at the Benson Idahosa University, BIU Benin City, Edo State .

While he was studying at Benson Idahosa University also known as BIU, he was President of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOS) in the 2007/2008 session. Blossom was also an active and bonafide member of House of Theatre (H.O.T) where he played the lead in the stage drama, Godless: The path to dawn. According to the handsome actor, playing Ukemu in Godless was his eureka moment and it inspired him to pursue his professional acting career .

He successfully graduated from the prestigious Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, Edo State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications in July 2018. After bagging a degree from BIU, he moved down to Lagos, Nigeria a few months and completed his mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps . He decided to stay back in Lagos state with the aim to pursue his professional acting career.

Career and Success

Blossom Chukwujekwu started his acting career in year 2009, he got his first movie role in a Nigeria soap opera; Portrait Of Passion after participating in several auditions . The ambitious man was also a cast in his first feature film, Vivian Ejike’s Private Storm alongside some other big names in the industry, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Ramsey Nouah.

In year 2013, Blossom Chukwujekwu was profiled on Africa Magic’s Nollywood show, Jara, as one of the top 5 actors to watch out for and this gave his career a big boost, he started getting more movie roles from many movie producers. The actor was number 4 on ace Nollywood director, Charles Novia’s, list of the best actors of 2013, he landed a role in Flower Girl in 2012 which was his breakout movie. Released in 2013, the highly anticipated movie achieved critical and commercial success in Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom and film festivals in the USA and Canada.

One of his most popular and highly anticipated movie of all time is Finding Mercy, this block buster was one of the most anticipated and successful movies of 2013. This movie was closing film at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF 2013). Knocking on Heaven’s Door was opened in cinemas nationwide on April 18 year 2014. In the movie, Chukwujekwu played abusive and emotionally volatile “Moses” and it won him Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice 2015 Best Supporting Actor award.
